That West Coast Rap, The Kind Ya Like

Mac Dre is probably one of the most influential West Coast Rappers of the 1990s. He set the standard for west coast independent rappers and had an extensive discography. In 1992 he was sent to prison for 5 years and was the first rapper to record songs that appeared on albums via a jail telephone. Some of these songs appeared on his release Young Black Brotha and also Back 'N Da Hood. Here is his first single from 1991 off of Young Black Brotha called California Livin' this version has a different instrumental and different lyrics then the actual album version. I personally ripped this 12" my copy is pretty beat up though but most comes out pretty good.

Dre Dog - The Ave 12" - 1993

Someone over at the T.R.O.Y. forum posted the "New Jim Jones" Album by Dre Dog aka Andre Nickatina so I figured I should post the 12" that came out before the album. Dre Dog changed his name over to Andre Nickatina and is by far my favorite Bay Area rapper. Here is his 12" for "The Ave" this is a slightly different beat then the album version and features different vocal recording and slightly different lyrics. Also the clean edit is pretty good, they do replacement words as opposed to just blanking out the curse words. The B Side also features 2 songs not on the Jim Jones album Mutha*#!=@R and Chocolate Ty
Enjoy.
A Side -
1. The Ave. [Clean]
2. The Ave. [Street]
3. The Ave. [Instrumental]
B Side -
1. Mutha*#!=@R [Street]
2. Mutha*#!=@R [Instrumental]
3. Chocolate Ty [Street]

No Account Mc's

Heres kind of an obscure record, i've seen these around on ebay but never the promo version. This is Steve D The Destroyer, the promo copy includes 6 different versions of the song. I tried to rip the best sounding one but this copy of the record I have it MESSED UP. It was released in 1987 from Stardust Recording Studio in Montclair NJ.
